Fashion in Egypt

Fashion in Egypt was very high class. But at the same time they did not have 3 layers like we would use just to make a v-neck sweater look nice. Egyptians maed fashion with just the little that they had. For example, pharaoh's wifes would put on long white dresses with straps with sometimes light coverings for the shoulders. Men wore light white skirts so that they could work easily without worrying to {do what we do today} pull up their pants. Even though the egyptians did wear light clothes they still wore alot of make-up. And yes, so did the men! The women used exactly what we women use today. they started with the base or as we call it the foundation then {both male and female did this} the eyeliner, then rosy lipstick and lastly some cheek blusher to make you shine. Though the Egyptians wore only white that didn't stop them from having color. Rich people added color and sparkle by wearing exquisite jewelry made from gold and colorful precious stones. Rich women in Egypt also had wierd ways of making themselves smell nice too. At feasts and parties, these women pinned cones to their wigs. But these cones weren't ice cream cones, they were cones of perfumed grease. When the grease melted  in the warm evening air, they gave off the most pleasent and sweet perfume.
